Tea bags or pure leaf teas? Tea bags are made from ground up tea leaves. This exposes a large surface area to the air, very soon, the antioxidants and other beneficial chemicals react with the oxygen in the air and are destroyed. Leaf teas, however, are left intact, thus slowing the oxidation and ensuring that you get the benefits from this incredible healthy beverage. The tea in tea bags is also processed industrially and often mixed with filler to cheapen the product. Pure leaf teas are not industrially processed and never mixed with anything else. You get tea, pure and simple, with the goodness just waiting to be released. It's a bit like comparing factory canned tuna with a piece of freshly caught tuna ...
Caffeine All teas contain caffeine but it is 100% natural and very quickly eliminated, except for Lotus tea which is naturally caffeine free.
